I was born and raised in Boston, and got my first taste of the fashion world when I moved to London to work for Harrods, one of the greatest stores in the world.
I then worked in advertising for a little while -- at the Leo Burnett ad agency, in Chicago -- but left to get an MBA from Dartmouth.
After getting my MBA, I moved to NYC and became the Director of Retail Marketing and Advertising for Polo Ralph Lauren. Ralph Lauren was, and is, one of the greatest leaders in style, quality, and integrity, and, although I loved working there, I was eager to explore a different creative outlet, so I moved to Nashville to write music. I had a bunch of songs recorded, but I realized that my creative interest was in the visual arts, so I stopped writing to focus on painting. My art is now sold in galleries around the country, and has been reprinted on items such as wrapping paper, wallpaper, greeting cards, etc. (Website: BrianNash.net.)
I've been itching to get back to the fashion world, however, so I’ve created LaLa Land by Brian Nash. It combines my love for clothes with my original art, and is named after a cartoon rabbit I created and who serves as the company’s mascot.
I buy American-made products whenever possible. I know I might pay more for some things, but I’m happy to do it, because the quality is usually higher, and I want to support local businesses. With that in mind, everything on this site was made in the America, and a majority of it was made in Nashville, my adopted hometown.
Please let me know what you think. Send any suggestions or comments or feedback, using the "contact us" page, or email me at Brian@LaLaLand.online.
And by all means send photos of you wearing LaLa Land items! I’d love to see them, and may post them on our facebook page.
